Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne scored a stunning strike to help his side make a big statement in the title race with a 1-0 win at the home of English champions Chelsea.

De Bruyne scored against his former employers midway into the second half to reward Manchester City for their tactical and technical superiority over the Londoners.

The massive win takes Manchester City back to the top of the table above Manchester United on goal difference while Chelsea finish the day in 4th spot after they were usurped by city rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the afternoon.

The Red Devils had earlier thrashed basement club Crystal Palace 4-0 to go top with goals from Romelu Lukaku, Juan Mata and Romelu Lukaku (2).
