UEFA Player Award: Ronaldo, Modric & Salah Make Three-Man Shortlist

Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric and Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah have been named on a three-man shortlist for UEFA Men’s Player of the Year.

The trio were chosen by a panel made up of 80 coaches and 55 journalists.

The award recipient will be revealed during the UEFA Champions League (UCL) group stage draw scheduled to take place in Monaco on Thursday, August 30.

Pernille Harder (VFL Wolfsburg and Denmark), Ada Hegerberg (Norway and Lyon) and Amandine Henry (France and Lyon) have been shortlisted for the women’s award.

Portuguese international captain Ronaldo won the men’s award in 2017, while Dutch midfielder Lieke Martens won the women’s honour in the wake of her transfer from Swedish club Rosengard for Barcelona.
