Spanish La Liga outfit Sevilla have completed the loan transfer of French midfielder Maxime Gonalons from AS Roma.
Gonalons, 29, joins Sevilla on a season-long loan from the Italian Serie A side.
He becomes the Andalusian club’s eighth signing of the summer.
Maxime Gonalons joined Roma last summer after spending eight seasons at French Ligue 1 giants Lyon and went on to make 23 appearances for last season’s Champions League semifinalists.
He’s expected to replace compatriot Steven N’Zonzi at Sevilla after the former Stoke City midfielder left for Roma.
Gonalons has featured for the French national team on eight occasions since he made his debut against United States in November 2011.
