Premier League Review: Manchester City Close In On Points Record As Arsenal Thrash West Ham In London Derby

Manchester City are closing in on the Premier League record for points after they defeated relegation threatened Swansea City 5-0 at home for their 29th win of the season.

David Silva, Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesus were all on target for the newly crowned Premier League champions who are on course to beat Chelsea’s record of points (95).

The emphatic win also came with a record number of passes (1015).

Manchester City presently have 90 points from 34 matches meaning that they only need six points from the remaining four games to break the record.

In the other game on Sunday, Alexandre Lacazette (2) and Aaron Ramsey scored in the last 10 minutes to give Arsenal a 4-1 win over West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium in a Matchday 34 clash.

Nacho Monreal’s opener had earlier been cancelled out by West Ham forward Marko Arnautovic before the floodgate of goals opened for the Gunners towards the end of the game.
