El-Kanemi Warriors and Sunshine Stars have moved out of the relegation zone after they won their respective Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) Matchday 13 clashes on Sunday evening.

Coach Imama Amapakabo’s side defeated FC IfeanyiUbah 1-0 at home courtesy Ocheme Edoh’s goal to climb out of the relegation zone into 15th spot with 16 points while Sunshine Stars are also out of the relegation zone following a 2-1 win over Yobe Desert Stars.

Sikiru Alimi was the matchwinner for Sunshine Stars as he scored just after the hour mark to propel his side to 14th spot on the league table.

In the other games on Sunday, Samson Obi scored a second half brace to help Abia Warriors beat Wikki Tourists 2-0 at home while Katsina United defeated newly promoted outfit Heartland 1-0 in front of their home fans.

League leaders Lobi Stars lost 2-1 at Nasarawa United in the final league game as they fail in the bid to extend their lead at the summit to six points.
