Lowly Dijon have moved further away from the relegation zone into the top 10 following their 2-1 win over Stade Rennes at home in what was a week 23 league clash.

Goals from Florent Balmont and Julio Tavares either side of Senegalese and Rennes youngster Ismaila Sarr’s equaliser gave the hosts a crucial three points.

The victory was enough to move Dijon (28 points) four places from 14th to 10th position while their more illustrious opponents Stade Rennes stay in 8th position after recording 31 points this season.
