Tenshin Nasukawa hopes to shut Floyd Mayweather’s running mouth

Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa is desperate to get his hands (and feet) on Floyd Mayweather in their New Year’s Eve three-round fight.

Although the short bout is explicitly boxing only, Nasukawa admitted that ‘Money Man’s’ behaviour leaves him fuming and wanting to use his full array of skills.

He said: “I sensed no aura about him. He says such provocative stuff I feel like kicking him.

Tenshin Nasukawa says he often feels like kicking Floyd Mayweather for his comments

The kickboxing champion will not be allowed to use his legs in their boxing only contest.

Mayweather will step into the ring for three three-minute rounds in Tokyo on New Year’s Eve.

FIGHT RULES

  • Three rounds of three minutes
  • Straight boxing rules
  • Both will wear 8oz gloves
  • Weight: 147lbs/67.7kg
  • No judges
  • Bout will not be going on boxing or MMA records

After a workout at his family’s gym in Tokyo, the 20-year-old added: ‘I can change the world with my fist,’ clearly feeling that a knockout of the 50-0 American would rock the boxing world to it’s core.

But the RISE kickboxing featherweight champion is also cautious of Mayweather’s pedigree.

‘He is the best so I can’t let my guard down. I’m sure his punches are fast but I’m sure I can see them.

‘I feel excited, although some days I still feel afraid,’ Nasukawa added. ‘But when the day comes, I want to fight with confidence,’ he added.
