Barcelona FA Ladies sign Super Falcons left back.

Barcelona FA Ladies, a first division side in Cyprus, have snapped up Super Falcons of Nigeria defender, Ngozi Ebere with the 2017/18 Cypriot Women’s First Division season set to commence on 5 November.

The club announced their latest acquisition on Tuesday via their Facebook page HERE

Ebere, whose high-profile move to Paris Saint German after the World Cup in 2015 has seen her struggle for game time, would look to rekindle her club career in Cyprus.

For two seasons at PSG, the left back could only manage six appearances in the Division 1 Feminine and two in the Coupe de France. She did not have the opportunity of featuring in any UEFA Women’s Champions League match despite making the bench a few times.

Meanwhile, this is Barcelona FA Ladies’ second season in the top flight after becoming the ninth team to join the fray last season.

Having finished third in their debut season, they must have set their sight on upstaging Apollon Limassol who have won the league title nine times in a row since the 2008/09 season.

Only the winners of the league eventually progress to the UEFA Women’s Champions League and Ebere hopes to make history with Barcelona FA Ladies.

The 26-year-old could be making her debut in the Women’s Super Cup between Barcelona FA Ladies and Apollon Ladies on Sunday October 29, 2017 at the Patreklisia Community Stadium.
