Salisu Reveals Satisfaction With Team Success Ahead Of CHAN 2018 Final

Home-based Super Eagles head coach, Salisu Yusuf, has revealed that he is satisfied with his team’s success irrespective of the outcome of Sunday’s CHAN 2018 final clash with Morocco.

The former Kano Pillars and Enyimba coach was speaking during the pre-match conference ahead of the final.

In his words, Salisu said: “Win or lose tomorrow, I’m satisfied with the team success in Morocco. This is Nigeria first ever final in CHAN.”

He further gave an update on the injury front. Salisu said: “We have three players injured for tomorrow’s game. We’ll look at other players this evening in training.”

On the potential impact of the Moroccan fans, he said: “We are playing the players on the pitch and not the over 45,000 fans.”

Team captain Ikechukwu also spoke at the presser as he disclosed that he has already told his teammates to make Nigeria proud on Sunday.

Ezenwa won’t feature tomorrow after he sustained an injury in the semi-final win over Sudan. In his words, the Enyimba goalkeeper said: “I have told my colleagues to make Nigerians proud tomorrow.”
