NPFL: Enyimba’s Mbaoma Coy On Goal Target (AUDIO)

Red-hot Enyimba forward Victor Mbaoma won’t disclose his goals target for this season, but would rather allow his performance to speak for itself.

The former Remo Stars captain has netted seven times in all competitions for The People’s Elephant this season, including six in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) where he trails Sunshine Stars striker Israel Abia by one goal in the top scorers chart.

“I have a target in my mind, but I think action is better than words,” he told busybuddiesng.com in an exclusive chat. “So, I think it is best I bring out my target which I have in my mind (on the field) rather than saying it in words.

“So, I’m sure that as time goes on before the league ends and before the CAF Confederation Cup comes to a close, definitely, my goals will speak for itself.”

Mbaoma has scored in his last 4 NPFL matches for the 2-time African champions and will hope to take his impressive scoring form to the continent when Enyimba face AC Paradou of Algeria this weekend in a Match Day 3 Group D tie in the CAF Confederation Cup in Algiers.
