On the back of the unimpressive showing from the Super Eagles where Nigeria lost to Croatia, manager Gernot Rohr has expressed optimism about his team’s chances of qualifying to the next round.
The Super Eagles lost 0-2 to Croatia in Kaliningrad on Saturday evening courtesy of an own goal by Oghenekaro Etebo and a penalty from Luka Modric but Rohr is hinging some hope on the fact that the other two teams in Group only have a point apiece.
“We have to accept this defeat and now we have to win against Iceland. All is possible still because we have only one point to win against the two other teams”.
“If we win the next game, All is possible for the qualification”
The next game for the Super Eagles is against Iceland on June 22 by 4pm Nigerian time.
