Nigerian forward Anthony Okpotu is line to make his competitive debut for new club, Difaa El Jadida.
The former Lobi Stars and Al-Ittihad of Libya striker is expected to feature for the Moroccan club when they face Algerian side Entete Setif in a CAF Champions League (CAFCL) Matchday 3 clash on Tuesday.
Okpotu, who emerged as the leading scorer in last season’s Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) with 19 goals, joined Difaa El Jadida from Lobi Stars on Wednesday.
He scored two goals on his debut for the club in a friendly match.
Diffa El Jadida (1 point) presently occupy third spot in Group B of the CAFCL behind MC Alger of Algeria (4 points) and DR Congo side TP Mazembe (6 points).
Opponents Entete Setif are last on the group standings with no point ahead of Tuesday’s meeting.
