Talks between both Pozzo-owned clubs are at an advanced stage busybuddiesng.com understands, with the 25-year-old Super Eagles striker set to join on either a permanent or temporary transfer.

The Hornets have been on a recruiting spree this summer in preparation for life back in the top-flight. They have signed Nigerian striker Emmanuel Dennis from Club Brugge, with the move likely making Success surplus to requirements.

Fellow Nigerian international Oghenekaro Etebo and Nigeria U20 midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru have also joined swelling the ranks of Nigerians at Vicarage Road with Super Eagles vice-captain William Troost-Ekong having joined from Udinese last summer.

The move would mark Success’s second away from Vicarage Road having spent the 2018/2019 season on loan at Malaga.

Success joined Watford in 2016 for a then club-record fee from Granada – another Pozzo-owned club – but has struggled to establish himself at Vicarage Road amid injuries and off-field troubles.

Injury problems limited him to a total of 72 appearances in all competitions for the Hornets with the striker scoring six goals and making five assists.

Success made only 10 appearances for Xisco Muñoz’s side in the Championship last season having missed large chunks of the campaign with injury and scored one goal as the Hornets regained promotion to the Premier League.
