NPFL: Plateau United Wallop Heartland In Awka; Lobi, Remo Stars Lose Away

Rangers moved up to third position in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) following a 1-0 victory against Remo Stars at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium, Enugu on Wednesday.

Kenechukwu Agu fired home the decisive goal four minutes before the hour mark.

Rangers have now amassed 37 points from 22 games.

Leaders Lobi Stars went down to 2-0 defeat against Sunshine Stars in Akure.

Vincent Temitope gave Sunshine Stars the lead from the spot on 13 minutes.

Chidozie Iwundu added the second goal on the half hour mark.

At the Awka City Stadium, Plateau United inflicted a 5-1 defeat on Heartland.

It was the biggest away win in the NPFL this season.

Olawale Doyeni, Lawrence Agbor, Nenrot Silas, Victor Makalala and Harrison Ebah were the goals scorers for Plateau United.
