Naughton Bags 3-Match Ban For Alleged Stamp

Swansea City defender Kyle Naughton will sit out the next three games for an alleged stamp on Watford striker Stefano Chuka Okaka.

The incident took place during their Premier League clash at Vicarage Road on Saturday evening.

The Welsh side won 2-1 in what was new manager Carlos Carvahal’s first game in charge.

The aforementioned Naughton was thereafter handed an FA charge which his club decided not to contest resulting in a three-game ban for the right back.

Naughton will now miss Premier League games against Tottenham on January 2, at Newcastle on January 13 and the FA Cup visit to Wolves on January 6.

A statement from the English Football Association (FA) said: “The incident was not seen by the match officials but caught on video.”
