Moses Stars As Chelsea Close In On Top Four With Burnley Win

Super Eagles winger Victor Moses was in sensational form as he helped his Chelsea side beat Burnley 2-1 in their rescheduled league game to close the gap on the top four in the race to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League (UCL).

Moses forced Kevin Long into a first half own goal to give Chelsea the lead before adding a second goal for the Blues just before the 70-minute mark after Ashley Barnes had equalised for the home side on 64 minutes.

The win takes Chelsea (63 points) to within five points of 4th-placed Tottenham Hotspur (68 points) in the face for next season’s UCL while Burnley (52 points) stay in 7th spot.

In the other Premier League game played on Thursday night, Leicester City played out a goalless draw at home with relegation threatened Southampton.
