Super Eagles Stars React To Victor Moses’ Sudden Retirement (Tweets)

The Super Eagles trio of Ahmed Musa, Shehu Abdullahi and Alex Iwobi have reacted to Victor Moses’ surprising decision to retire from international football.

The Chelsea star had earlier announced his retirement from the Super Eagles on Wednesday evening.

Victor Moses won the 2013 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) title with the Nigerian team and also featured in two FIFA World Cup tournaments (Brazil 2014 and Russia 2018).

He scored 12 goals in 37 appearances during his six-year spell (made his debut in 2012) with the three-time African champions.

Reacting to the news on Twitter, newly signed Al Nasr of Saudi Arabia forward Ahmed Musa wrote: “It was a pleasure to play alongside such a great player. You have served your nation well and will always be remembered. Good luck in all you do @VictorMoses”.

Right-back Shehu Abdullahi also wrote via Twitter: “I wish you all the best bro!”.

Arsenal attacker Alex Iwobi wrote on his Twitter handle: “Thank You For Paving The Way For Us. You Achieved So Much For Our Country. It Was A Pleasure To Play With You, Wishing You The Best Big Bro @VictorMoses ????”.
