Canada’s Milos Raonic becomes the latest high profile player to withdraw from this month’s US Open due to a recurring wrist injury.
The World number 11, who plans to return to tennis before the year runs out, joins Novak Djokovic (elbow injury), Stan Wawrinka (knee injury), and Kei Nishikori (tendon tear) on the US Open injury list.

Speaking about his decision to withdraw from Flushing Meadows, Raonic said: “I have too much respect for the US Open and my fellow competitors to take a spot in the draw when I know I cannot give full effort due to this injury.”
The US Open starts on Monday 28 August 2017.
