Kogi United playmaker Osas Eghe has set his sights on helping his side secure promotion to the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) at the end of the current Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
Former Wikki Tourists of Bauchi star Osas Eghe has been a consistent performer for Kogi United who are presently in contention for NPFL promotion.
The team is presently second on the Group A2 table and only the top two teams from the various groups are guaranteed a spot in the Super 8 tournament that will determine the four teams for next season’s NPFL.
There are four groups (A1, A2, B1 and B2) in this season’s NNL.
Speaking ahead of the second half of the season, Osas Eghe told footballlive.ng that: “It’s been a great season for us in the NNL, I am happy here having been instrumental to Kogi United’s success story so far.”
“The job is half done and the only task left on our horizon is to continue the good work in our remaining matches in the Group.
“We want to pick one of the two tickets for the Super 8 tournament and then seal promotion to the NPFL. Looking at the current crop of players at Kogi United this is a possible mission,” The midfielder concluded.
