Injured Mane Named In Senegal’s Squad For Crucial Double Header With South Africa

Injured Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has been named in Senegal’s squad ahead of next month’s 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying double header with South Africa

Mane had been an injury doubt for the home and away games vs. South Africa on November 10 and November 14.

Sadio Mane suffered a hamstring injury during Senegal’s 2-0 away win against Cape Verde on the 7th of October and was subsequently ruled out for up to six weeks on October 10.

Speaking about Mane’s inclusion,  Senegal coach Aliou Cisse said:

“In my mind there’s no doubt he will be with us for the double header against South Africa and that he will be 100% fit.”

“Until now, he has just been doing some individual training – running in straight lines – but from next week, he is going to train harder and start working with the ball.” he added.
