Highly rated Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) coach Imama Amapakabo has been unveiled as the new coach for Maiduguri-based outfit El-kanemi Warriors.
The official unveiling ceremony, organised by El-Kanemi Warriors officials, took place on Tuesday.
Amapakabo replaces former coach Ladan Bosso after penning a one-year deal with the NPFL club. Bosso had been in charge for the last two seasons.
Coach Amakapabo rose to prominence worldwide after he led Rangers to their first league title in over 30 years before he was unceremoniously sacked last season.
He was part of the coaching crew that led the home-based Eagles to a second place finish at the 2017 West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Cup and was also part of the coaching crew that qualified the team for the 2018 Africa Nations Championship in Morocco.
