Nigeria’s cadet handball team suffered a fifth loss from five matches as they went down 22-30 to Argentina at the IHF World Youth Championship taking place in Macedonia.
The national under 19 handball team coached by Emeka Nnamani had lost to Bahrain, Macedonia, Denmark, and Japan before Monday’s encounter against Argentina.
A good showing in the first half which ended 10-10 was undone by a lacklustre outing in the second period as Argentina ran riot scoring 20 times to Nigeria’s 12 goals.
Joseph Gbawuan bagged a direct reflection card to make matters worse for Nigeria as they finish the group stage without a win.
