The outcome of the draw for the 25th African Men’s Handball Nations Cup which held in Morocco on Wednesday has been cancelled by the Confederation of Africa Handball (CAHB)
A letter signed by the CAHB Secretary-General, Mr. Charles Omboumahou, and addressed to the national handball federations of the participating countries said the governing body took the decision to suspend the outcome of the draw after they received a petition protesting the draw.
While apologising for any inconveniences caused by their decision, Omboumahou assured the participating countries that the executive committee will make arrangements for a new draw.
Nigeria had been grouped in Group B alongside host Morocco, Angola and Kenya.
The Senior National Men Handball Team otherwise known as the Golden Arrows are presently in a training camp in Abuja ahead of next year’s African Men’s Handball Nations Cup scheduled for 13 to 23 January in Morocco.
