Nigerian-born Arsenal youngster Arthur Okonkwo produced an impressive performance to help the England U17 team to a 2-1 win over Russia in Burton on Saturday

The highly-rated young goalkeeper was making his first appearance for Steve Cooper’s team having previously featured for England at both the U15 and U16 levels.

Okonkwo, 16, was formerly an unused substitute in the team’s 3-2 win over Portugal on November 8 before his debut on Saturday.

He is highly thought of at Arsenal and has trained with the club’s first team this season on two occasions at least.
