The Technical Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) have named the coaches for both the male and female U17 national teams.

According to the committee, Akwa United coach Abdul Maikaba will head the coaching crew of the male U17 team. He would be assisted by four others.

Abubakar Bala and Oluwafunsho Bunmi Haruna will work as his first and second assistant respectively while Baruwa Abideen will the goalkeeper trainer.

Bala Nkiyu will be in charge of the women U17 team with Toyin Ayinla as his first assistant. Ajuma Peter Otache and Christian Obi were named the second assistant coach and goalkeeper trainer respectively.
