Oliseh Takes Credit For Alex Iwobi And Moses Simon

Former Super Eagles manager Sunday Oliseh has praised his contributions while he was in charge of the team and that he was responsible for the emergence of forwards Alex Iwobi and Moses Simon.

Oliseh, who has been made non-active in his job as Fortuna Sittard coach, was appointed Super Eagles manager in 2015 before everything went downhill for him prompting the former Juventus and Borussia Dortmund midfielder to resign from the job in February 2016.

Sunday Oliseh was speaking during an interview with ESPN. In his words, he said: “One of the first things I did when I got the job was to bring a lot of young blood in because the team itself was already on the wane.”

‘’Players like [Alex] Iwobi, I brought into the team, I gave him his first call-up, and some others who had been sidetracked like Moses Simon.

“I brought them in and pushed them up.” he concluded.
