England Women Managerial Job: Interim Replacement For Sacked Sampson Revealed

England women U-19 coach, Mo Marley, is set to be appointed as the interim manager for the Three Lionesses of England on Friday as replacement for the sacked Mark Sampson.

Marley, a former captain for both England and Everton, will oversee the team’s next three games. The matches include next month’s friendly with France and the World Cup qualifiers against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kazakhstan in November.

50-year old Marley had earlier assisted former England manager Hope Powell and also previously had a spell as Everton Ladies coach.

Immediate past manager Mark Sampson paid the ultimate price with his job after he was dismissed on September 20 following the emergence of evidence that showed “inappropriate and unacceptable” behaviour with female players in a former role.
