Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio has signed a new six-year deal at the club as reward for a breakthrough season.

Asensio, 21, joined the Spanish and European champions from fellow Spanish side Real Mallorca for a reported £3.5m in 2014 and went on to enjoy a breakthrough season as he helped the club win a league and UEFA Champions League (UCL) double.

The Spanish international has been linked with a move to the English Premier League (EPL) but has decided to committed his future to the Los Merengues until June 2023.
