The national women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, have received the cash rewards promised by the Federal Government (FG).
D’Tigress had earlier defeated Senegal 65-48 during the 2017 Women’s Afrobasket final in August to secure a 3rd title win prompting Federal Government’s cash rewards to both players and the technical crew.
Captain of the Women’s basketball team, Aisha Mohammed has confirmed receipt of the cash reward from the FG for their 2017 FIBA Afrobasket Women’s victory.

According to the team captain Aisha Mohammed, they (players and technical crew) have finally received their money from the FG.
The players received N1m each while technical crew members were given N500, 000 per head.
