De Bruyne Wins Inaugural Premier League Playmaker Award

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has been named the recipient of the inaugural Premier League Playmaker Award.

He was presented with the award on Sunday evening shortly after he produced his 16th assist of the season for Gabriel Jesus to score for City in added time thus securing a record 100 points by virtue of a 1-0 win at Southampton.

The Belgian playmaker saw off the challenges of teammates Leroy Sane (15), David Silva (11) and Raheem Sterling (11) to win the award as he was instrumental in a record breaking title-winning season for Manchester City.

De Bruyne will be hoping he can transfer his former from club to country when hostilities begin at this summer’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.
