Victor Osimhen trained with his Napoli teammates on Friday (today) after returning from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Serie A champions confirmed the forward’s return to full training on their official website.

“Victor Osimhen returned from commitments with his national team and carried out personalized recovery work on the pitch, work which will continue tomorrow,” reads the statement.

The 25-year-old will however miss Saturday’s Serie A clash against Genoa.

Osimhen returned to Naples on Thursday from Nigeria where the Super Eagles were hosted by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Super Eagles made it all the way to the final, eventually losing 2-1 to hosts Cote d’Ivoire.

The striker was meant to be back earlier yesterday, but missed his flight, eventually landing in Naples in the evening.
