Darren Moore Bags Manager Of The Month Award For April

West Brom caretaker boss Darren Moore has been named the Premier League manager of the month for April after his impressive start to his managerial career at the Hawthorns.

The 44-year old led the Baggies to an unbeaten run in the month under review with three wins and two draws after the former defender replaced Alan Pardew on caretaker basis at the start of last month.

West Brom were at the foot of the table and 10 points adrift when he took over but his appointment eventually came too late after they were relegated on Tuesday night when Southampton beat Welsh side Swansea City 1-0 at the Liberty Stadium.

Speaking on the award, Darren Moore stressed the importance of joint effort. In his words, he said: “It’s been a wonderful joint effort by everybody here. We’ve just brought some unity here and it’s helped the players put the performances together on the pitch.”[tps_header][/tps_header]
