Crystal Palace Seal Kouyate Transfer From West Ham United

Crystal Palace have completed the transfer of Senegal international midfielder Chiekhou Kouyate from London rivals West Ham United.

The 28-year-old joins Palace from fellow Premier League side West Ham United after putting pen to paper on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

He becomes the club’s second signing of the summer after Vicente Guaita joined the Eagles from Getafe on a free transfer.

In his first interview as a Palace player, Kouyate told PalaceTV: “This is the right time to move because I needed a new challenge.”

“I have good memories of West Ham but I need to come here and give my best because I like the Crystal Palace project.” He concluded.

Kouyate, who spent four years at West Ham United, was part of the Senegal squad that crashed out of the recently concluded FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia in the group stage.
