Rwanda will not be participating in any international sports competition following an order from the country’s Ministry of Sports in a bid to close all inroads for the coronavirus.

The Ministry instructed all sports association to suspend all plans to participate in international games played outside of Rwanda due to the widespread of the virus across various countries.

Clubs and sports association have been advised to contact the organizers of the various tournaments of their decision to pull out in order to avoid sanctions.

This means that Rwanda will not be participating in CHAN 2020 and the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers later this month.
