Lille FC’s striker Victor Osimhen will have to manage playing in empty stadiums after the French government ordered that matches in Ligue 1 and 2 be played behind closed doors till April 15 following the outbreak of coronavirus in France.
France has over 1,116 confirmed cases of the coronavirus with 19 people dead already.
French Sports Minister Roxana Maracineanu on Monday revealed that games in the country’s top flight would either be played in an empty stadium or with just 1,000 spectators – the limit set by the government for sporting events.
Lille’s first game behind closed doors will be away against Brest before hosting Monaco at home.
Their two remaining fixture before April 15 will see them face Montpellier and Metz away from home.
Osimhen, 21, has recorded a total of 18 goals in all competitions for the French club – Ligue 1 (13), Champions League goals (2), Coupe de la Ligue (2) and French Cup (1).
The Super Eagles forward joined the Great Danes from Charleroi in July, 2019.
