Peruvian striker Claudio Pizarro has rejoined German Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen ahead of the new football season.
The 39-year-old teams up with Bremen on a free transfer after leaving FC Cologne who were relegated from Germany’s top flight at the end of last season.
The veteran striker has signed a one-year deal in what is his fourth spell at the club.
While speaking about his new career choice, Claudio Pizarro said it was good to be back at the club as he nears retirement from football.
In his words, he said: “I feel so at home here, and it’s the best thing for me to be back.”
