How Super Eagles Celebrated World Cup Spot (Video)

Super Eagles players were understandably in high spirits after they gave their all during Saturday’s 1-0 win over Zambia at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo to help Nigeria book a sixth World Cup final appearance.

The players on getting to the dressing room celebrated the huge success in unison with team captain John Mikel Obi at the centre of the celebrations. The wonderful togetherness showed by the players was captured in a 36-sec video.

Midfielder Ogenyi Onazi, who went off injured during the game and was promptly replaced by Mikel Agu, was the chief instigator as he started the chanting of the victory song ‘Ole! Ole!! Ole!!!’. He was also the catalyst as other players joined him in getting the aforementioned Mikel Obi wet.

With a place in Russia now certain, all attention will now shift to preparations ahead of the tournament starting from next month’s dead rubber against Group B whipping boys Algeria.
