The Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) fraternity has been dealt a huge blow following the news that Kano Pillars defender Chinedu Udoji has died.

The former Enyimba captain passed away on Monday morning after he was involved in a ghastly motor accident along Club Road in Kano.

Chinedu Udoji had visited his former friends at Enyimba before the accident happened on Sunday night.

He was in action for Pillars on Sunday evening against his former club, Enyimba, in a Matchday league game that ended 1-1 at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.

The unfortunate news was confirmed by Kano Pillars via their official Twitter handle.
