Arsenal ran an entertaining show in their Emirates Cup opener against Benfica, thumping the Portuguese side 5-2.
Despite going behind to Franco Cervi’s deflected opener in the 11th minute, Arsenal took control through Theo Walcott’s eight-minute brace, before Eduardo Salvio restored parity for Benfica on the 40-minute mark to end the first half 2-2.
