Transfer Deadline Day: Victor Moses Offered Inter Milan Lifeline – Reports

Chelsea outcast Victor Moses has been offered a lifeline on transfer deadline day by Antonio Conte who wants the Nigerian to return to Italy for another loan spell with Inter Milan according to reports.

The Nigerian winger/wing-back spent the latter part of last season reunited with former Chelsea boss Conte at Inter after cutting short his loan stay at Turkish side Fernabahce.

He returned to Stamford Bridge after helping the Italians reach the final of the Europa League and their highest league finish in Serie A in a decade.

Despite his exploits in Italy, 30-year-old Moses has been deemed surplus to requirements by Chelsea supremo Frank Lampard who disclosed that the London club were looking to ship the Nigerian out either on loan or on a permanent basis.

And according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Inter are interested in bringing Moses back to the San Siro on another loan deal after Chelsea rejected their approach for teammate Marcos Alonso.

The former Super Eagles forward was an integral member of Conte’s Chelsea squad that won the Premier League in 2016/2017 and will relish another opportunity to work with the Italian but both clubs will have to finalise the deal before the window shuts later today.

Moses has a year left on his Chelsea contract which expires in 2022.
