French champions AS Monaco have booked their spot in the quarterfinal of the French League Cup following a 2-0 home win over Caen.

The home side took the lead in the 33rd minute through Argentine forward Guido Carillo before substitute Radamel Falcao wrapped up the straightforward victory.

Other top flight sides like Angers and Tolouse are also through to the last eight of the competition following respective wins over Metz and Bordeaux.
