German Bundesliga Review (Tuesday): Dortmund End Wretched Winless Run With Mainz Win

Borussia Dortmund have ended their search for a first league win since September after they secured a 2-0 win at Mainz 05 to move into the top four.

Second half goals from Greek defender Sokratis Papasthathopolous and Shinji Kagawa ended an 8-match winless run in what was the first game for new manager Peter Stoger.

Stoger only replaced the sacked Peter Bosz earlier this week (Sunday) and has already made his presence felt in his first game.

In the pick of the other games, in-form Danish striker Nils Petersen scored a first half penalty to give his side a 1-0 win over Borussia Moemchengladbach at home. He has now scored 4 goals in his last two league games.
