Salah Strikes Late To Take Liverpool Second

Mohamed Salah struck six minutes from time to hand Liverpool a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace in their Premier League clash at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles took a 13th minute lead through Luka Milovojevic who made no mistake from the spot after Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius was adjudged to have fouled Wilfred Zaha in the box.

Sadio Mane equalised for the visitors four minutes into the second half before Salah’s intervention with a late winner.

The Egyptian has now scored 29 league goals to equal Didier Drogba’s record for an African.

The win takes Liverpool (66 points) into second place ahead of Manchester United (65 points) having played two games more than the Red Devils while Crystal Palace stay two places (16th spot) and two points ahead of the relegation zone.
