Nigerian forward Alex Iwobi was on target as he helped Arsenal to a 2-0 win over newly promoted Brighton Hove & Albion at the Emirates Stadium.

Spanish defender Nacho Monreal gave the Gunners a first half lead before the previously mentioned Iwobi profited from superb work from Chilean star Alexis Sanchez to double Arsenal’s win.

With the win, Arsene Wenger’s men leapfrog Watford and Liverpool into 5th place and are now just some few goals away from the top four after recording 13 points from the first seven league games of the season. Defending champions Chelsea are in 4th position with the same number of points but better goal difference.
