The other match in the female category decided on Monday saw Desert Queens play out a 27-27 draw with Lagos Seasider Babes.

In the men’s category, Kano Pillars were ruthless in dispatching Sokoto Rima 24-14 while Bornu Spiders ensured that Prison Key Boys stayed bottom on the log with a 43-33 victory.

Defending champions Niger United defeated Kada Stars 35-25 while Owena Kings got their first point of the league as they played out a 23-23 draw with Plateau Vipers.

COAS Shooters and the De Defenders spilt the points in a high scoring 35-35 draw while league leaders Safety Shooters had to dig deep for a hard-fought 27-25 win over Lagos Seasiders.
