EPL: Dutch Youngster Becomes Latest Academy Graduate To Make United Debut

In a five-goal thriller which had Manchester United emerge victorious against Southampton, Dutch U21 International, Tahith Chong made his debut at injury time.

Chong came off the bench to replace Marcus Rashford shortly after Paul Pogba missed a penalty.

Earlier in the season, the 19-year-old made his first-team debut in the FA Cup, coming off from the bench to replace Juan Mata in January.

He began playing football at the age of 10 for Feyenoord before joining Manchester United’s Youth team in 2016.

His major rise at United began after Ole’s arrival as he made his first competitive debut against Reading in the 65th minute of the game.

The Netherlands U21 international will now be hoping to get more minutes before the season ends.
