Italian top-flight club AS Roma have banned an Instagram User for life for sending Brazilian defender Juan Jesus racist messages on social media.
According to the club, a complaint had been filed to Instagram and the Police against the Instagram user reported to be a fan of the Italian outfit.
In a tweet, the club said the person would no longer have access to watch AS Roma games “for live.”
“The person responsible will be banned from #ASRoma games for life,” the club’s tweet read.
Italian football is regularly beset by racism controversies and the Brazilian Defender was the latest known hit.
Recently, racist chants were directed at Tuscan side’s Brazilian player Dalbert in a game betwen Atalanta and Fiorentiana.
Inter Milan’s Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku and AC Milan’s Ivorian player Franck Kessie have been targeted by monkey calls this season.
Last season, Blaise Matuidi, Kalidou Koulibaly and Moise Kean were victims.
