League leaders Manchester City were at their fluent best once again as they dispatched basement club Swansea City 4-0 of Wednesday night to set a new record of 15 successive wins.

Goals from David Silva (2), Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne ensured that the Citizens maintained their 11 point-lead at the top of the table in addition to setting a new record for consecutive league wins.

City’s nearest rivals, Manchester United, kept up their faint title hopes with a 1-0 win over Bournemouth at Old Trafford courtesy Romelu Lukaku’s first half strike.

In the thrilling battle for top four, Liverpool and Arsenal played out respective goalless draws against West Brom and West Ham United while Tottenham dispatched Brighton 2-0 at home through goals from Serge Aurier and Son Heung-Min.
