Manchester City defender Nicolas Otamendi has penned a new four-year contract at the club until 2022.
Otamendi joined the Citizens from Valencia in a £28.5m in 2015 and has grown to become an important player at the Etihad Stadium.
His former deal was due to expire in the summer of 2020.
The 29-year old earlier tweeted that: “Thanks to the club and technical team for their trust and respect, and to the fans for their support in every match, at all times.”

The Argentine centre back has featured 118 times for City wining the League Cup in his first season.
Otamendi has scored four league goals in 22 games this season to help his side move 12 points clear at the top of the table after 23 Matchdays.
