Nigerian tennis player Aruna Quadri continued the victory trend this weekend after he won his first ever International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) title in Poland.

Quadri defeated Yoshida Kai of Japan 4-2 in the final to win gold at the ITTF Challenge Polish Open thereby securing his maiden ITTF title.

The victory recorded by Aruna Quadri in Poland is in line with the theme of this weekend for Nigeria as a nation. Earlier on Saturday, the Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated Zambia 1-0 to seal a sixth final appearance in Russia next summer.
